Latest Interpretation Videos

We are delighted to announce the release of our latest interpretation videos.

These videos have been created by Dextra Visual and are based on historical data, drone imagery & interpretation of visible remains.

All of this would not have been possible without the funding we received from the Farming in Protected Landscapes managed by the the North Pennines AONB, we are very grateful for their support.

We hope you enjoy them!

Molehill Survey – Day Five

Day five! Well it wouldn’t be right and proper if we didn’t get at least some rain during our five day survey would it? Heavy overnight rain and continued drizzle throughout the day made conditions difficult, nevertheless we moved the survey into the area of the mansio.

Similar to yesterday, there were only a few finds, but as Jan explains, that also tells us a story.

We continue to thank all the wonderful volunteers who give up their valuable time to assist us with the survey!

In addition, a huge thank you to to AONB for funding the survey!
