Before Christmas there was ….. SATURNALIA, a midwinter festival to celebrate seed sowing and to look forward to the promise of a Spring harvest.
It was aRomanfestival when the tables were turned and all became equal! No slaves, masters or Emperors! There were no togas – but everyone had to wear a hat so as to disguise their status. Colourful clothing contributed to the jovial merrymaking, alongside feasting, drinking, games and competitions!
Join us for an EpiacumRoman Saturnalia Fundraiser at Alston Town Hall.

Time – Â 7:30pm -11pm
Tickets are £15 per person
Dress Code – colourful clothing – and a hat of any description!
Suitable for secondary school age upwards if accompanied by an adult.
The evening will include competitive Arena Games and general hilarity! So bring your friends and form a team or join others!
No lions will be present!
Tickets include a glass of mulled wine on arrival and some food. A CASH BAR will be provided by our friends from The Hive.
