Photography Competitions – *RESULTS*

Epiacum Heritage are delighted to announce the winning entries in our photography competition “A Fort For All Seasons”.

After a slow start, interrupted by Covid 19, we received over 80 tremendous images. The trustees and judges were very impressed with the variety and quality of the images submitted across the four categories: History, Landscape and Environment, Natural World and Rural Economy.

The judges have now completed their difficult task of choosing the winners and runners up in each category, plus the monochrome and the Under 16 categories.

Professor Stewart Ainsworth who sponsored the competition stated:

“So many good photographs! It was hard to select winners and runners-up for the different categories but congratulations to those whose submissions I have chosen and thanks to everyone who sent in entries. I do think the variety of the images submitted reflects the wonderful and varied landscape and environment of Epiacum. Winners or not, all the images submitted by contributors demonstrated how different people interpret place and time today amongst the remains of the past. As a result, each person and each image makes a unique contribution to the future as part of an historical record.”

Epiacum Heritage are looking forward to using all of the images entered into the competition to help promote the site and bring it to a wider audience.
